Berthoud Fire Apparatus Showroom

The Berthoud Fire Apparatus Showroom, located at the Berthoud Fire Protection District headquarters (248 Welch Avenue), offers a unique and exciting glimpse into the history of firefighting in the Berthoud community. This remarkable space, built and generously donated to the District in 2024 by the Caretakers of Tradition, is a testament to the enduring spirit of Berthoud's firefighters, past and present.

The Caretakers of Tradition, a 501-3(c) non-profit and dedicated group of retired firefighters, spearheaded the creation of the showroom. Through generous donations and fund raising efforts, they built a space to honor the history of Berthoud Fire and its dedicated firefighters.

The centerpieceof the showroom is the restored 1927 GMC fire truck.  Alongside it stands the historic hose cart, a reminder of the department's humble beginnings. These restored items, along with captivating exhibits featuring photographs, documents, and artifacts, showcase the District's evolution.

The Berthoud Fire Apparatus Showroom is open to the public by appointment. Admission is free, and tours can be arranged by contacting us at 970-532-2264 or info@berthoudfire.org.
