  • Applicants must speak, read & write the English language fluently, be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License (or be eligible to obtain by time of employment) and pass a background check.
  • Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a minimum of an associate degree with an emphasis in human resource management; however, a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in human resource management is preferred.
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist or Risk Management Certification preferred with a Working knowledge of Workers Compensation System, property & liability coverage, benefits law and pension administration for both a define benefit & money purchase plans.
  • A minimum of 3 years-experience in benefits administration & risk management duties or any equivalent combo of education, training & experience.

This position requires independent judgement & knowledge of the above. Conduct classification studies & salary surveys, monitors & reviews all HR record maintenance, including file systems for insurance, pension plans performance evaluations, personnel files, disciplinary actions, promotions, new hires and terminations and more. Work with Payroll and the HR management Software.  Act as a civilian Advocate on grievances from civilian employees and as liaison between civilian employees and upper management.
